WHY ROBOMOTION · MY PLATFORM CHOICE

Automation should be
easy to build
and clear to run.

I prefer Robomotion because it gives me a visual way to build quickly, a JavaScript escape hatch when the work gets specific, and practical choices for running automations locally or in the cloud.

I use Robomotion for the same reason I build custom extensions, integrations and tools such as Sluice:

The automation has to finish the real process—not stop where a product boundary begins.

WHY IT EARNS A PLACE IN MY TOOLKIT

Fast for the obvious steps.
Flexible for the awkward ones.

The advantage is the combination: visual development for speed, code for control, and multiple ways to deploy.

01

A canvas people can follow

Flow Designer turns a process into visible nodes and connections. That makes discovery, iteration and handover easier than hiding the entire workflow inside code.

02

JavaScript when visual blocks are not enough

The visual layer does not box me in. Scripts and custom logic can handle transformations, decisions and edge cases without moving the whole project to another stack.

03

Browser work is a first-class use case

Robomotion’s browser extension and Inspect workflow help identify page elements, while browser nodes cover common navigation, extraction and interaction steps.

04

Local and cloud execution

A flow can run near the systems and data it needs, or use cloud execution when that fits. Robomotion documents support across Windows, macOS, Linux and Raspberry Pi.

05

Orchestration without losing the build

Schedules, triggers, queues and robot management sit around the same automation model. A flow can move from a useful prototype into repeatable operation.

06

Room to build the missing part

When an API is absent or a standard node cannot complete the job, I can add a Chrome extension, integration or purpose-built service and keep the end-to-end process intact.

A PRACTICAL COMPARISON · CHECKED 7 SEPTEMBER 2026

Robomotion or UiPath?

Both are capable automation platforms. The better choice depends on how much enterprise breadth you need and how quickly you want a team to start building.

Decision point
Robomotion
UiPath
Ease of developmentHow quickly can a useful flow take shape?
A focused drag-and-drop designer, searchable nodes, templates and an AI assistant keep the first build approachable. JavaScript remains available for deeper control.
Low-code and coded development are both available. Studio’s broader enterprise surface includes more project types, packages, governance and lifecycle concepts to learn and configure.
Browser automationWorking with websites and portals
Extension-based inspection and dedicated browser nodes support a direct build-test loop across common browsers.
Mature UI automation and computer vision sit inside a larger platform with extensive enterprise tooling.
Where it can runDeployment flexibility
Local, self-managed and cloud execution options. Paid plans publish unlimited local execution, with plan-specific cloud hours.
Cloud and self-hosted options are available; self-hosted is shown from the Standard tier on the public pricing page.
Price visibilityWhat can a buyer see before a sales call?
Free $0 · Solo $49 · Pro $129 · Team $399 per month. Included users, robot types, flows, cloud hours and add-on prices are published.
Basic starts at $25 per month. Standard and Enterprise direct buyers to contact sales; UiPath notes that some users, robots and capabilities can require additional purchases.
“One size fits all”What I mean by one platform
One visual environment can cover the path from building and extending through running and managing. Plans still have different limits and metered resources.
A broad suite spans RPA, agents, document processing, process mining, testing and governance, with packaging that scales to complex enterprise programs.
Best fitThe choice I would make
Teams that know the process they want to automate and value quick development, published costs, flexible execution and custom extension.
Large automation centers that need deep governance, process and task mining, mature document understanding, or a large certification and partner ecosystem.

Prices above are the vendors’ published monthly figures on the check date and can change. Taxes, usage, add-ons and contract terms may affect total cost. “One platform” describes the development and operating experience; Robomotion publishes several plans rather than one literal price.

WHY I PREFER ROBOMOTION

It leaves more energy
for the process itself.

For the businesses I serve, the hard part is usually not choosing from hundreds of platform features. It is understanding the real workflow, handling the exceptions and closing the last gap.

Robomotion gives me a clear foundation for that work. I can build visibly, extend precisely and explain the operating cost before the automation grows into a large program.

UiPath is a sensible choice when its enterprise depth is the requirement. Robomotion is my preference when speed, clarity and an end-to-end build matter most.
